Taking On Health and Happiness

We all want to be healthy and happy right?  For most of us, this includes having an emotional, spiritual, and physical balance.  If you tackle these areas one by one, you will be on the road to becoming a better you.  A great place to start in this journey is fitness.  Physical activity helps keep you healthy, mobile and flexible.  

Some benefits of physical activity/exercise include:

  • Improved muscle strength and stamina
  • Improved mood and well-being
  • Decreased symptoms of anxiety and depression

Knowing the benefits of exercise is only half of the battle. The next step is choosing a physical fitness program so that you can begin your journey.  When choosing a program, make sure it is the right one for you.  Here are a few things to consider:

  • Body composition
  • Muscular strength
  • Cardiovascular endurance
  • Age

Remember, always consult your doctor before you begin any fitness program.
